Genus Fleet Terminals can be equipped with fixed-position readers or hand-held scanners. A CMI barcode scanner has a built-in keyboard and display that allows attendants to quickly log their employee identification number, a vehicle identification number, or information from any other barcoded resource by simply pressing the trigger on the scanner gun.
The terminal scanner is also capable of logging numeric information, such as vehicle mileage, through its conveniently placed numeric keypad. The Genus Fleet terminal supports a variety of additional reader modules, such as fingerprint biometrics, barcode slot reader, magnetic slot reader, and multi-class proximity/RFID cards reader. Data can also be entered manually through the alpha-numeric terminal keyboard.
